Meet Our Team - Lucy Halsey
Lucy
Halsey
BA MCNA (NZ)
Registered Nurse
Lucy trained
as a nurse in Wellington and went on to complete
a BA
with a particular focus on the health of communities.
She has worked
in NZ and Australia in intensive care, operating theatres, surgical and
paediatric wards.
Lucy was involved in research programmes on pain
relief.
Since 1998 Lucy has worked in the area of sexual and reproductive health.
Lucy moved to Nelson in 2003 and started to work at Independent Nursing
Practice soon after that. Apart from working at the base clinic, Lucy
runs two clinics in Nelson high schools.
She also has a particular interest
in biofeedback and is working with clients in the urinary
continence programme.
