Meet Our Team - Melissa Beavis

  


     

Melissa Beavis

Melissa developed an interest in youth health even during her nursing training in Nelson. She worked on the residential campus of Nelson College and came to INP as a student on placement. After graduation Melissa worked in Australia in theatre, and on return to Nelson, for a Maori health provider which involved providing holistic care through the lifespan. Her interests led her to complete a Post-Graduate Certificate in Primary Health Care. Melissa came to work at INP in 2006 with a passion for working with people in that most intimate aspect of their lives, their sexual and reproductive health.
